Appeals and Complaints Policy
Overview
Authors who disagree with an editorial decision have the right to appeal. Appeals must be submitted in writing to the editorial office within 30 days of the decision and must provide clear scientific justification.
Scope & Application
Appeals are reviewed by a senior editor or editor-in-chief not previously involved in the decision. The editor will determine whether the original decision was based on a misunderstanding or significant oversight. Appeals based solely on the authors' disagreement with the reviewers' opinions without new evidence will not be considered. Complainants regarding editorial processes may also submit formal complaints, which are handled confidentially.
Our Commitment
A transparent appeals and complaints process ensures fairness, accountability, and continuous improvement in our editorial practices.
